Greek and Gaul Imfantry Finished for ImpetusI have been chipp

I have been chipping away a couple of units at a time to complete the infantry portion of my Impetus collection. I just ordered some Greek light cavalry and some Gaul medium cavalry and that should just about complete the whole thing. I am sure that I have way more figures than I will ever need, but isn't that true for most of us?

The Victrix ancients are sturdier than the Napolionics, which is a very good thing.  The Little Big Man Studios shield transfers take the figures to a whole new level. It takes quite a bit of effort to add them, but I feel they are so worth it.

Here are some shots of my Gauls:

15mm Roman Fort For Sale

I am trying to thin out my gaming collection of pieces/units I probably not be using in the future. The first item on the block is a nice 15mm Roman fort. It is nicely painted and easy to put together. It is no longer in production, so this is a one of a kind terrain piece. I am asking $75 plus shipping. (It will all easily fit in a medium USPS medium flat rate box.)

My Latest Commission

These are the latest figures I have painted up for a new client. The first photo is of 18 French legere infantry. Next are 18 Baden figures, and finally there are 17 of the Vistula Legion. The French and Vistula are Front Rank figures. The detail stands out on these quite nicely and they are fun to paint. I was able to turn these around in just five days.

More Victrix for Impetus

I have painted up more of my latest shipment of Victrix ancients. This includes two stands of slingers, one of peltasts, two of hoplites and two warbands of Gauls.

These are the Greeks:

Victrix Athenian Hoplites

I received my order from Victrix this week and first on the table were 20 Greek hoplites. These are nice figures. I also purchased shield decals from Little Big Man Studios. These make a very nice finishing touch. Once on they are somewhat shiny, but a coat of diluted white glue takes that away quite nicely.
