Seven Years War Action

I have a quite large collection of Seven Years War figures. They are all 15mm Old Glory castings. I have Austrian, Prussian, Russian, Hessian, French armies and several other battalions/squadrons from smaller partcicipants. I haven't had a battle with them for ages, so I thought I would pull them out and have a go. The battle is fictional. A Prussian army has been given the task of taking a small village and drive off an Austrian army defending it. Both forces are similar in size and makeup. The battlefield is disected by a small stream which is easily fordible. Cavalry, however, become unformed crossing it. Infantry lose half a move. The terrain is hilly, dotted with small farms, fields and woods. The set up:
Turn One: The Prussians advnaced all along the line, most units in column to move more quickly. The cavalry on the flanks broke into battle groups.
Turn Two: The Austrians draw first blood when one of their batteries nicely situated upon a hill fires upon a Prussian battalion in column.
Turn Three: As thr Prussians continue to advance, their skirmishers are able to harass the Austrian line, inflicting a few casualties. The Austrian cavalry move forward to be able to engage the Prussian horse, hoping to catch them the next turn unformed by the stream.
Turn four: The cavalry on the two wings tear into each other. On the Austrian left, they two sides meet in the stream, unforming them both. The Austrians win or draw all of their combats. On their right, despite a couple of groups refusing to charge, their position behind the stream plays to their advantage as the Prussians either fail their morale test or become unformed. The Austrians win all but one of the combats here. In the center, the Austrian heavy battery is able to fire cannister into a column of garrison infantry crossing the bridge. Double six is rolled plus modifiers of +6 for a total of 18! The unit is shattered and must retreat across the croweded bridge, unforming the units behind them as they go. It is not a promising start for the Prussians.
To be continued...
