Grandsons' Birthday Presents

My grandsons were in town last week. They really enjoyed playing with my 28mm Victrix Persians and Greeks and asked if I'd paint up some figures for them for their birthdays. the first installment was the Persians. I picked up two boxes of Zvezda Persians, 42 in a box in a variety of poses. I have tried my hand at 1/72 scale before with the results not very satisfying. These figures, however, were quite a different experience. The detail was terrific making them fairly easy to paint to a suitable standard. I painted them in two different themes, one primarily red and the other primarily yellow. With the Persians, though, there is lots of color, so I took full advandage of that.
