Hail Caesar Rome vs. Carthage: the set-up
I am reall enjoying getting back into Hail Caesar. My collection of Victrix figures look great on the table, and I have enough variety and units to have some large games.
In this one, each side is made up of five divisions adding up to 750 points.
Starting on the Carthaginian left, this is a division of Libyan spearmen and citizen infantry screened by a small group of javelin men.
To their right is a division comprised of Numidians.
In the middle is another unit of Libyan spearmen and citizen infantry. These are supplimented with two elephants. I love the elephants!
Next in line is the Carthaginian commander with two units of medium cavalry.
Finally, on the extreme right end of the line are three elite units of veterans along with some javelin men in support.
On the Roman side, beginning on their left, two units of Celtic horse.
To their right is a legion of Italians, rated as levy.
In the center is the IV legion.
Three units of Samnite medium infantry occupy the woods.
The elite III legion holds the right along with the commanding general.
Here are some random shots of the table before the javelins start to fly!
